Sonia Morffi is a businesswoman and philanthropist of Mexican roots, raised in a family of politics as well as renowned artists and famous musicians. She has stood out since July 2016 in the media as executive director and founder of Radio Latino INC, in Los Angeles, California. She has dedicated her life to actively participate in actions and strategies for the defense and promotion of women’s political, economic and social rights. Its cause and struggle is aimed at strengthening and promoting Latin women for their entrepreneurship and empowerment.
One year later, she managed to successfully run her radio station. However, during that year, she realized that no matter how much amazing and informative content was brought, she needed to find a way to successfully give back to her community. Radio Latino INC. has branched off, and brought to life Radio Latino Foundation on September 21, 2017, “World Peace Day.” Dedicated to the Empowerment and Mentoring of Youth.
In 2019, she was awarded “Las Palmas de Oro, Professional Excellence Awards”, by the National Circle of professional Journalists in Mexico City, she also received the “National Award for Professional Excellence” at the 7th World Peace Congress 2019 among important political dignitaries, in the Senate of the Republic of México honored for her important work as Executive Director in media, for Radio Latino INC. Working for the rights and empowerment of Latina Women in the United States.
Also, on November 20 of the same year, she received among 33 women from around the world, the International Women’s Award for her noble professional work as a defender of the rights of Latino Women based in the United States and such recognition was granted by the International Hall of Fame organization, the National Chamber of Women in Bogota, Colombia and the International Leadership Forum.
In January 2020, after two and a half years of working closely as media partner, she was offered a position as Board of Directors for one of the most prestigious and important organizations in the Inland Empire the NLBWA-IE (National Latina Business Women Organization in the Inland Empire.) Their mission is to be the leading resource for professional development for Latina Entrepreneurs, executives, as well as professionals.
On March 8th, International Women’s Day, she was named President of CANADEM USA, in México City, leading as Chairwoman Dr. Betty Uribe with the support of worldwide influencers. Sonia was honored by its visionary Edgar Valenzuela, founder of the National Chamber for Women in México (CANADEM Mexico) established in 2004. CANADEM USA and its Mission is dedicated to the development and growth of the Entrepreneur. Mentoring to business professionals, financial literacy training, access to capital.
